Langwith Junction Childcare in Mansfield provides care for children from birth to four years old. The day nursery is open from 7.45am to 5.30pm on weekdays, all year round. Ofsted inspected the setting in February 2025 and gave it an overall rating of Good. The inspector reported that children show high levels of enjoyment and engagement in their learning, both indoors and outdoors. Staff use expressive tones when reading to introduce new words and build vocabulary. Activities are tailored to different age groups, with younger children squeezing sponges to practise motor skills and older children using tweezers.

According to Ofsted, staff promote children's individuality and strive to build positive relationships with parents and the wider community. Parents told the inspector that staff work hard to provide a fully inclusive nursery community. The setting supports families with a food larder and a clothes-swap scheme. The inspector also noted that children receive clear direction from staff, which helps to shape their positive behaviours and keep them safe.

Children show high levels of enjoyment and engagement in their learning. They respond positively to staff's invitations to play and eagerly join in with the activities on offer. Staff use a range of tones in their voice to add excitement to their reading and introduce children to new words, helping them build their vocabulary from a young age.
