Little Bluebells Day Nursery, established in 1996 and now under new management since 2023, is a highly-regarded childcare provider in Bradford, serving families from Low Moor, Wyke, and surrounding areas. The nursery caters to children across three age-specific rooms: the Caterpillar Room for 3 months to 2 years, the Ladybird Room for 2–3-year-olds, and the Butterfly Room for 3–5-year-olds.
They boast a loyal and experienced staff, with many having served for over a decade, and a high proportion qualified to NNEB, BTEC, or NVQ Level 3. With a 'Good' Ofsted rating and a 5-star Environmental Health rating, Little Bluebells emphasises providing a stimulating and educational environment. They offer flexible funding options, including 15- and 30-hour free funded places for eligible children from 9 months old, as well as for 2-, 3-, and 4-year-olds.
Meals are included in the fees, with an option for parents of 3-4 year olds to provide their own food if they wish to opt out of the meal charge. The nursery operates Monday to Friday, from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.
Our ethos
At Little Bluebells Day Nursery, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum framework (2021) to support children from birth to five years old. EYFS promotes seven areas of learning: Communication & Language, Personal, Social & Emotional Development, Physical Development, Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World, and Expressive Arts & Design.

Fees are charged on an hourly, half-day, or full-day basis, with standard fees including all meals. For children aged three to four receiving government-funded hours, optional meal charges apply unless parents provide their own. Invoices are averaged and paid in equal monthly instalments over 38 or 51 weeks.

Inclusion & environment
Support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) is a key strength of the nursery. Staff build trusting and respectful partnerships with parents to ensure that children who require early help receive timely and effective support. The nursery also works closely with external professionals such as speech and language therapists and occupational therapists to provide tailored interventions that meet each child's needs.
Children enjoy daily outdoor play where staff provide support to help them develop their strength, balance and coordination.

The nursery is open all year round from 7.30am until 5.30pm Monday to Friday, except for bank holidays and a week at Christmas. The nursery employs 12 members of staff. The nursery offers the government-funded places for childcare and receives specific funding for disadvantaged children.
