How they support every child

SEND provision

Children who need extra help with their learning engage well with learning during targeted teaching sessions. Visiting practitioners give support and advice to help staff with phonics or strategies for children who need additional help with their learning.

Outdoor space

Babies have opportunities to crawl, climb and use steps. Older children peek at their friends through the garden fence and play together at the mud kitchen. However, staff do not closely consider the needs of babies outdoors, despite which children show good progress.

My daughter has been at Fennies Eltham for just over a month now (after moving nurseries due to location) and has settled in so quickly. She’s excited to go and is always in a lovely mood at pick up. We can’t thank the staff enough for welcoming her and making her feel at home. We receive updates via an app throughout the day about what she’s eaten and the time she has spent playing outside. I love the daily updates about what her and peers have been up to that day and the pictures to go with it. I really believe my daughter will thrive at Fennies and that we have made the best choice sending her there.

LOVE the management and whole team. Really thoughtful and always having things on for the kids. They make every cultural event a highlight and celebrate all cultures. Both of my kids have been at Fennies in the past 5 years and I only have good things to say

Our daughter was at Fennies Eltham for 2.5 years (2022-2024) and loved her time there. She always came home happy, with fun stories to tell, and was taught/cared for by lots of great people along the way (Jo, Emily, Kelsey, Barbara, Diana and many others). A year later, we're back again as our 1-year-old son has started in the baby room. Nadvie, Maisie, Kiera, Gabriela and the whole team have been amazing in helping him settle as well as helping us with the transition (sharing lots of reassuring updates and cute photos). They have been warm and affectionate towards him from day one, which has been really lovely to see. The managers, Sarah and Priya, have also been very welcoming and supportive so it's a friendly and comforting environment. The facilities at the nursery are great (inside and in the garden) and the activities are well-considered and varied. Our son has been learning new things and growing in confidence during his first few months so we're very happy so far :)

Our 2 sons have attended Fennies from the age of 1 and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. The staff are all amazing; very friendly and caring and have a great bond with the children. Our boys have so much fun at nursery with all the activities that are put on each day and love playing in the garden (which we were so impressed by when we first visited). We can really see the development in our boys from attending Fennies and this is a reflection of the incredible team. Thank you Fennies, keep doing what you are doing!

Our daughter started at Fennies when she was 9 months old. She was very clingy and attached to me, but  the team put so much effort in making her feel comfortable, day by day. All members of staff are so so lovely, attentive and nice. Since then our daughter moved to the next age room, and again the staff is just fantastic, you can see that they love kids and kids love them too. The list of activities is enormous, they are constantly doing something interesting, even at this young age. Food menu looks great, our daughter definitely eats there better than at home. There are a lot of photos and updates in the app as well. Overall, we are very very pleased and would highly recommend Fennies Eltham.
