About this day nursery

First Steps is a well-established nursery in Waltham Cross, operating since 2003, that provides a warm and nurturing environment where children aged 1 to 4 years thrive. Children arrive smiling and quickly settle, eager to explore the wide range of activities on offer.

The nursery prides itself on putting children at the heart of everything they do, fostering an atmosphere where children are prompted to make their own choices of activities and resources, whether indoors or in the large, stimulating garden. The dedicated staff, with their good knowledge of child development, plan a wide selection of activities that follow specific topics of learning.

They also provide meaningful opportunities for older children to develop their mathematical skills, preparing them well for school. To broaden children's experiences, staff organise trips and outings to local woods and farms.

My son has attended this nursery for almost a year now and the staff and provision have been fantastic for him. The nursery staff take a great deal of care with all the children that attend and you can tell how much they thrive being in this environment as you always see them with big smiles on their faces, happy to learn and engage with all the activities available. Ignore previous incorrect review which is false and misleading. Any parent that sends their child to this nursery will tell you how amazing it is!

First steps nursery ist not very safe environment for child safety off children should be the priority but for them it’s profit before the welfare and wellbeing of children I’m very disappointed with them
