What it's like to attend

• Staff take great care to get to know every child thoroughly, including before they start, to ensure that they are fully included in what the nursery has to offer.
• Staff act as positive role models, and all children learn to behave well, showing care and compassion towards their friends.
• Managers have a good overview of the provision; the curriculum is well designed to support children's interests and builds on what they know and can do.
• Staff promote children's independence, helping babies to wash their hands and teaching older children how to put on their own coats.
• Overall, staff provide good support for children's language and communication skills, taking interest in what older children are saying and narrating what babies are doing.
• The manager continually reviews and evaluates what is working well and identifies future developments, supporting staff development and contributing to children's progress.
• Staff keep parents up to date about what their children are doing and learning, sharing development reports and including parents in decisions about their children's learning.
• Parents praise the staff for the wonderful learning opportunities that children have.
• The arrangements for safeguarding are effective, with an open and positive culture that puts children's interests first.
