I cannot recommend Little Sparrows enough. From the moment we walked through the doors it was clear that this is more than a nursery, it's a second home for these children. Cheryl and the staff are truly exceptional. Warm, nurturing and welcoming. They take pride in understanding each child and meet the needs and interests of each child. The activities are incredible, ranging from arts and crafts to outdoor play. There is a real attention to detail and we are grateful for all your efforts. Many thanks to this special team.
Read on GoogleI have had a wonderful experience with Little Sparrows Day Nursery and highly recommend it to other parents for its exceptional care, dedicated staff and enriching environment. The staff are not only well-qualified but also compassionate, creating a warm and nurturing environment for the children. The curriculum is engaging and age-appropriate and contributed to my child's cognitive, social and emotional development. The nursery were brilliant at providing regular updates on my son’s activities and learning progress. Thank you Little Sparrows team for fostering my son’s growth, well-being and for all your hard with preparing him for school in September. He will miss you all dearly!
Read on GoogleLittle Sparrows is a wonderful nursery. The staff are very dedicated and nurturing and the children have such a range of experiences during thier time there. They promote independence and resilience in the children. My daughter really loved her teachers and always came out with a massive smile on her face. They offer a delicious healthy menu for the children that changed each term. I would not hesitate to recommend Little Sparrows to anyone.
Read on GoogleCheryl, Rachel and the team have been fantastic with my son in the 3 years he has been at Little Sparrows. We started in June 2021 and have just left (Aug 2024) and throughout that time my son has thoroughly enjoyed his time at nursery and misses both the children and staff hugely. The days are filled with lots of outdoor play, stimulating games which have set him up for being excited to learn at school, and meals that he’d never eat at home! Whenever we needed support from the staff with things like potty training, spells of testing behaviour, or helping him through things going on at home they always offered a helping hand and you can tell that they genuinely care about the children. The learning plans are really valuable to keep an eye on development and the scrap book/journals are really special and provide a great record of just how far they develop during the time there as well as something to look back on memories with their friends. I have wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this nursery to anyone and have already registered for my youngest to attend.
Read on GoogleThis is an Outstanding Montessori nursery; not just by Ofsted standards (2025 report) but by all parents that I speak to about it. Cheryl and her team are extremely attentive, friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. All the children are extremely happy there, as seen every time I pick up my child. The nursery itself is very well organised and structured and somewhat tidy despite it being a nursery. There isn't mess and chaos everywhere, yet children have the freedom to play with what they want but are also made a tidy up after themselves and the staff do a really good job of keeping on top of this too. It creates a sense of calm, structure and a nice learning environment. The the meals and snacks on offer are healthy and mostly home cooked and with no salt or sugar added. Meal times are served as a group and the children are encouraged to serve themselves and tidy up after meals independently. The garden area is huge with different sections such as grass areas with a climbing frame, concrete areas with scooters and bikes, sandpit and an outdoor classroom. The children are encouraged to spend lots of outdoor time and weather permitting some lessons even take place outdoors. My child in the preschool class recently learnt about the life cycle of plants and grew her own sunflower to bring home. At every pick up time we are reported to on how our child behaved, ate, slept and what activities they got up to that day. The staff are so attentive and keep records of each child in a folder where they collect photos and notes from their time there which parents can review on a termly basis. The staff seem really in tune with each individual child which is really reassuring for parents and makes it easy to trust them. I have nothing negative to say about this nursery.
