SEND provision

The special educational needs coordinators maintain strong partnership with parents, other agencies and staff to reduce any gaps in children's development. They makes sure that any developmental concerns are responded to quickly. Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are fully included in all activities.

Outdoor space

Children excitedly choose from a range of learning opportunities, indoors and outside. Staff challenge children to walk across the beam or leap to the next stepping stone to enhance their balance and coordination skills.

My youngest daughter currently attends Fledgelings and has attended since Aug 2020 at the age of 10months. My eldest also attended Fledglings for three and a half years right up to commencing school. Fledgelings is such a lovely, nurturing environment. Both my girls have and continue to flourish here. The level of care to my daughters has been outstanding. The girls go in happy and come out happy. I believe my eldest daughters nursery and pre school experience has led to a very positive start in her school life. Currently my youngest loves nursery, she does a variety of sensory activities each day, she is always so busy, learning and having fun and comes home happy. She is being supported with her speech and responds really well to some sign language and flash cards provided by her class leads which helps with her communication. I’m very lucky that both my daughters have done so well in the care of the team at Fledgelings. The management have always been very approachable and demonstrate a lot of care to the children. The managers and the nursery staff aren’t just individuals working for a nursery, it’s evident they all work together with a one team approach putting the needs of the children first.

As soon as we looked around fledgelings for our twin girls, we knew it would be the best choice. Lovely staff, lots of fun activities and things to do all throughout the day and a very homely feel. We particularly loved the idea of them having outdoor time with other children too. We’ve noticed a huge difference in them and their social and emotion skills and we are super pleased. :)

My daughter has been going to Fledglings since she was 8 months old and absolutely loves it here. The staff care for and nurture the children and always have time for parents. I genuinely think my daughter has come on leaps and bounds since starting here as they encourage development every step of the way! As an added bonus, their hours / day structure is really straightforward and easy to understand, unlike a lot of other nurseries in the area. We viewed so many nurseries before deciding, but this one just felt like home. Would absolutely recommend Fledglings.

The most amazing nursery! I found it so daunting leaving my eldest daughter when I returned to work but all of her staff at Fledgelings were amazing, they made her feel so comfortable and happy. My eldest loved nursery, she formed lots of amazing relationships with the children and the staff. The staff ensured she was well prepared for school and supported in every area with transition. I am now sending my youngest daughter and they've gone over and beyond to get her to settle quickly after coming out of a lockdown, she already loves it and the staff! Facilities are great and it has a homely feel. Highly reccomend.

My son loves this nursery. I was nervous at first and my son also struggled with the 'hand over' in the mornings at first but with the support of the staff he now happierly walks in and says good bye to me. The staff are amazing and keep you up to date with what he's doing through an app. Everything else can also be managed through the app. Great nursery, Lovely staff, I would recommend!
