Verbatim quotes recorded in the Ofsted inspection
Parents report that they are very happy with the nursery. They comment that staff are exceptionally supportive of their children and that they 'go the extra mile' to help families through times of ill health or difficulty.
Parents are confident that their children's individual needs are managed well and say the staff make sure their children are well prepared for the move on to school.
Inclusion & environment
Children learn about respect through discussion and good role modelling from staff. Children listen when staff explain what is coming next. This helps children, particularly those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, to become familiar with the daily routine.
The inspector observed the quality of education during activities indoors and outdoors and assessed the impact this has on children's learning.
After a traumatic experience with a previous nursery, we immediately felt warmly welcomed at Footsteps. The staff are incredibly caring, polite, and give a true family feeling. They all know our son by name and show genuine kindness. The organisation is outstanding — we’re always informed about what he eats, drinks, learns, and how he feels. The Tapestry app gives us great insight into his day and allows us to share home moments that they beautifully use to extend his learning. Being able to pick him up straight from his room and see him happy, playing, and running to us with a big smile is priceless. His transition was so smooth it felt like he always belonged. He goes in every day happy and excited, and that tells us we made the right choice. We truly can’t recommend Footsteps enough — thank you for such an amazing experience so far!
Read on GoogleCan't say enough good things about this place! My daughter loves the staff, loves going every day and loves her friends she's made. And her key workers and other staff have been terrific with her; she's blossomed since she started going, definitely. As with the other recent reviews, can't vouch to what it may have been like but in the 18 month's my daughter's been going, we've had regular, insightful updates from staff, some very good advice and she's had a lot of wonderful experiences. If it was as bad as the older reviews were saying, trust me when I say that little one wouldn't be dying to get there every day!
Read on GoogleDon't see the reason of bad reviews of this place without an actual experience with it. My daughter goes to this nursery and loves the stuff. Food is good, every time we go there, the smell from the kitchen is always yummy. I've experienced an absolutely horrible nursery before Footsteps, so I clearly see that my daughter loves it. The only thing I would say, pay attention on your payments. Keep all the cheques with you, or bank statements, just in case of a proof.
Read on GoogleLovely daycare center. Excellent manners and polite people. Little bit let down on the road that proceeds the junction that take the speeding up traffic from the train station going past this place. Northampton council need to revise there road layout at this very very confused road and paths junction too and from the train station into the town. All I'm all first class daycare center. Impressive
Read on GoogleCouldn’t ask for a better nursery for my daughter! She’s Been going since 8months old and I have never had a problem, they’ve always gone above & beyond to help. Couldn’t recommend Footsteps enough!
