Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) make good progress in their learning. Staff form close relationships with children with SEND and provide tailored support for their individual needs. The knowledgeable special educational needs and disabilities coordinator (SENDCo) works closely with other agencies to provide the support that children need. Strategies are used to help children to access the curriculum.
Children explore the spaces available to them. The nursery has developed their own outdoor forest area where older children toast marshmallows, learning how to keep themselves safe. Children grow their own plants, harvest them, and learn about living creatures, developing an excellent understanding and appreciation of nature.
Children who speak English as an additional language are well supported to learn English. Staff use strategies to help children, such as providing dual language books and using real objects. Staff who speak additional languages support children as they begin to learn English, meaning children make good progress in their English language development.
I gave the school 1 star because some of the teachers are quite warm and doing their best apart from that the management are a bite unfriendly. 1 minute late is 1 pound.I was 4 minutes late and was charged 4 pounds. A single mum with 2 kids in 2 different schools.I wrote to the management all she said was "Unfortunately we do have to charge a late fee and it is normal practice in nurseries. You have been late twice before, the first time for 13 minutes and the second time for 5, and you have not been charged for those. Normally we do not charge for the first late, but we do charge for subsequent lates. Please make sure in future that you are on time for pick u" For some reasons my daughter couldn't return back to school in September 2024 ,the school couldn't bother checking while she hasn't been. The school is a bite unfriendly so I wouldn't recommend specially for a struggling single mum.
Read on GoogleI’ve given the nursery 1 star due to the building/equipment available, everything else is dreadful. My Children went to this Nursery between 2014-2019. They completely failed my kids and due to working arrangements and capacity issues elsewhere we couldn’t move the kids straight away. I hope the management and senior positions have changed. (If it’s seriously undergone a massive change let me know and I’ll remove this review). We knew they had massively failed my first born and once left two serious finger nail marks in her lip whilst wiping her nose. They basically left the kids with runny noses all day and quickly wiped them as each parent came to pick up. Recently we bumped into one of the ladies who worked there and whistle blew on how they treated my kids. When we eventually got them into different nurseries it was night and day. Could not believe the difference. I would not recommend sending your kids here.
Read on GoogleMy son went here from the baby room right through to starting primary school. Staff were amazing with him and great facilities (the pre school room was a playcentre and still has the large play frame in there for children). His development came along in leaps and bounds with photo updates for parents. They were well deserving of their Outstanding status and my son started school at the top of his class.
Read on GoogleSent my daughter here since she was a baby and will be attending reception from September. She has become very sociable and talkative. Brilliant nursery to send your child to..🤩🤩
Read on GoogleMy daughter maria loves her nursery... her favourite teachers are diane and Fatima. She wakes up in the morning and says it's time to go nursery. My eldest daughter went to the same nursery 10 years ago. Definatly would recommend it. X
