Leaders and staff at Goosehill at Hepscott Park are systematic in identifying individual children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, ensuring they swiftly receive the support required and make excellent progress. The curriculum is fully inclusive and accessible to all, with clear processes for identifying needs and engaging parents collaboratively. Staff use Makaton to aid communication and large rolling balls to develop sensory awareness and support self-regulation, ensuring all children develop resilience and independence. Skilled staff demonstrate a genuine passion for inclusion.

Outdoor space

Children at Goosehill are involved in designing and developing garden spaces. They have full days in woodlands, visit their own allotment, and take part in beach school sessions. Leaders promote physical health and wellbeing, providing opportunities to take measured risks indoors and outdoors. Outdoor experiences are rich and varied, inspiring exploration and resilience, with the allotment providing opportunities to grow their own vegetables, promoting healthy lifestyles and a sense of achievement.
