Goudhurst Village Pre-School, established in 2013, provides childcare for children aged 2 to 4 years within a welcoming, friendly, and stimulating environment. 30pm during term-time, the pre-school fosters a secure and engaging atmosphere where children are eager to learn and form strong attachments with staff.
The curriculum is broad and meticulously planned, tailored to the individual needs of each child. This approach, which incorporates children's interests, leads to exceptional progress from their starting points and encourages true independence.
Children are supported to communicate effectively, with staff valuing their ideas and introducing new language to expand their vocabulary. The pre-school places a strong emphasis on outdoor learning, with children confidently choosing to play outside and showing maturity when walking to the playing field.
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) receive exceptional support, thanks to a dedicated Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) who works closely with other agencies and skilled staff to ensure every child makes rapid progress. Parents speak highly of the pre-school and the consistent care it provides, appreciating the regular feedback they receive, which helps them continue their child's development at home.

Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are exceptionally well supported. The dedicated special educational needs coordinator (SENCo) works tirelessly with other agencies to give children and families the support and time they need. This dedicated time, along with skilled staff who know the children and their needs remarkably well, helps all children make rapid progress.
Children show incredibly high levels of independence. They confidently choose where they want to play and get their own coats and wellingtons on to go outside. When walking to the playing field, children show maturity. They listen to instructions from staff to keep themselves safe and show they know the rules when outside of the setting.
