Horsmonden Kindergarten, established in 1980, is a charitable pre-school facility situated near the Horsmonden Primary School. It offers a warm, secure, and stimulating environment for children aged 2 to 5 years, fostering interaction with peers and adults as they embark on their first journey away from home.
The Kindergarten emphasises play-based learning to promote social skills, confidence, independence, and overall development, preparing children for a smooth transition to primary school. With a spacious building and an excellent outdoor area, children have ample opportunities for engaging activities and physical play.
The institution operates during term time from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm on weekdays and is managed by a dedicated team of staff and a committee of parent volunteers. Horsmonden Kindergarten actively encourages parental involvement in fundraising and other events to ensure its continued success and growth.

Leaders and staff provide strong support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). They make referrals and collaborate closely with parents and external professionals. Leaders ensure that targeted plans are put into action, allowing children to access early intervention.
The inspector observed the quality of education offered, both indoors and outdoors, and evaluated its impact on children's learning.
