About this day nursery

Grandpont Daycare offers a nurturing childcare environment in Oxford for children aged 10 months to 5 years (school age). The day nursery operates two distinct provisions: 'Rainbows' provides all-year-round care for 50 weeks, while 'Swans' offers term-time only provision for 38 weeks, catering to children from two years old.

Both provisions embrace indoor and outdoor learning experiences, with visits encouraged to explore the facilities and meet the dedicated team. Grandpont Daycare places a strong emphasis on early years funding, accepting various government schemes to support families with childcare costs, including provisions for 15 and 30 hours for eligible children across different age groups.

The day nursery also provides meals, with options for hot lunches, and includes breakfast and light tea for 'Rainbows' provision. Parents are requested to provide nappies and formula milk.

A minimum of two sessions are required to ensure children settle and feel a sense of belonging within the setting. The nursery is committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all children.

Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Leaders and managers work effectively in partnership with other settings that children attend as well as outside agencies. For example, they share concerns about children's welfare or their learning. This meets children's individual needs and ensures they are kept safe.

Outdoor space

Children can choose to play inside or out for most of the day. In the garden, children enjoy propelling balance bicycles, climbing, digging in the sand and transporting water in the mud kitchen. This ensures the setting is inclusive for those children who prefer to learn outdoors.
