I want to share my own experience as a new mom with anxiety around trusting others with my baby. My son started in the caterpillar room when he just turned 1 and as expected, took him a while to adjust but the staff ensured he had everything he needed. On days he really struggled and needed a full days cuddle from someone he trusts, he gets it. He’s moved on to Lady Bird room now and although he struggled to adjust again after the holidays, the staff were supportive in helping him adjust, develop and grow/learn. I can tell from my son’s behaviour that he’s being looked after well. Accidents (which happen often at his age) are always reported to us. Just recently, my son had an accident at home which I forgot to handover to the nursery in the morning. They called me to ask what happened as he had developed a small bruise. They made sure it was recorded which gives me confidence in how they track and deal with these things. I had one complaint which was dealt with quickly through staff awareness training, and so far the complaint hasn’t happened again. All in all, I’m really happy with how my child is progressing now. He learns a lot of new things that really surprises me sometimes. He just blurts out new words and it gives us so much joy seeing him flourish and making friends. I thought I’d just leave my review here as usually it’s the negative reviews that are submitted online, with positive reviews usually not making it here for others to see.
Read on GoogleIncredible place. My daughter started at Green Park Nursery when she was 7 months old — she was the smallest there. Now she is in pre-school, and most of the staff know her name and say hi to her. She absolutely LOVES going to nursery; she is thriving there and learning lots of new skills. The teachers have been amazing — very patient and helpful with her. Brook is a rock star who really understands my daughter and has created a real bond with her. It will be sad leaving Green Park soon for school, but as a mother, I cannot say enough how grateful I am for all the hard work and support you have provided for my little troublemaker.
Read on GoogleWe had a very concerning experience with this nursery recently . On my 1 year old son first day, he fell and hit the back of his head, but staff said they had not noticed it. Over the next two weeks, he suffered four separate facial scratches all over the face — one very close to his eye , which has now unfortunately left a permanent scar. As for a parent and new baby just step in to the new world, we are heartbroken.. While accidents can happen, what worried us most was the way staff dismissed these incidents as “normal” and failed to put effective measures in place after I informed. As a result, our child became unsettled, had difficulty sleeping, and lost his appetite. This nursery does not deserve its “Outstanding” rating, as children’s safety and wellbeing should always be the top priority. Sadly, in our experience, it did not meet that standard. Multiple authorities, including Ofsted, are now investigating. I strongly encourage any parents with similar experiences to raise complaints and seek justice for their children. I also recommend parents who are considering this nursery to think very carefully — do not be misled by the “Outstanding” label.
Read on GoogleDon’t be fooled by its outstanding ofsted rating. Most of the staff there don’t care about the kids at all. They only did one photo update per week when my child was attending 4 days a week. They refused to increase the update frequency despite we requested several times. The handover staff usually didn’t know at all my child’s day, but always told us they had a great day. Sometimes what they said are completely different with the app recording. My child’s got ignored a lot. There was once they didn’t change my child nappy after a bm, but told us they were just changed at pick up. It ended up with terrible nappy rush and took weeks to recover. I regret so much we chose this nursery, and so glad we made the decision to change their nursery.
Read on GoogleMikaeel has had an incredible year almost at this nursery. All the staff are very friendly, welcoming and supportive and make the child’s experience much better. Mikaeel has been in two different rooms and enjoyed his time at the nursery, we are only leaving due to moving abroad otherwise would love to stay at this nursery, would highly recommend.
