Hebden Nursery, established in 2011 and located in Burnsall, provides childcare for children aged 0-4 years. The nursery operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 17:00, offering a friendly and caring environment where children are happy and engaged.
The provision for babies has significantly improved since the previous inspection, with staff helping children develop into confident and sociable individuals through engaging activities and focused support. Leaders ensure that children who are disadvantaged or vulnerable receive targeted assistance.
The setting also prioritises children's increasing independence and confidence, fostering a supportive atmosphere where parents are kept well-informed about their child's learning journey. Children enjoy a variety of activities, from exploring water with funnels to building towers, and staff actively support language development through songs and rhymes, as well as the building of fine and gross motor skills.
Overall, children are made to feel valued and their individual needs are met within the nursery's nurturing environment. The nursery has a capacity of 24 children, and its safeguarding standards are met.

Inclusion & environment
Staff work with other organisations, such as physical and health professionals, to support children's individual learning needs. Staff identify and provide further support to children who show delays in speech and communication skills. Leaders take positive steps to help children who are disadvantaged or vulnerable to get appropriate and targeted support.
Staff help children to manage their own safety as they engage in physical activities, such as using climbing and sliding equipment or learning about road safety on their regular walks around the village.
