How they support every child

SEND provision

Leaders and staff have high expectations of what they want children to achieve, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities. Staff are very aware of the effects that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on children and are extremely sensitive to this. Children's personal, social and emotional development has been a strong focus.

Outdoor space

Children thoroughly enjoy exploring and investigating the wonderful outdoor areas. They engage in daily physical and energetic play, regardless of the weather. They climb, run, jump and balance, developing their large-muscle skills. They learn about living things, grow vegetables and develop an understanding of how to keep themselves safe when playing outside.

Lovely small community preschool and nursery. My daughter grew so close to all the staff and children in her time there, and it’s been monumental in her transition to primary school. High Legh Preschool has given her confidence and more independence, whilst maintaining a “homely” caring attitude. She loved all the activities and the outside space is fantastic. We both look back on her time there with such lovely memories.

High legh pre school has been my daughter's nursery since she was 9 months old and it has been one of the best decisions I made. All of the staff are so lovely, friendly and I think of it as more of a home from home for my daughter. My daughter has always loved going, and has genuinely been so happy there. I can't thank the staff enough for everything they have done for my daughter in the 4 years she attended, her social skills and academic skills have also come on incredibly. It also meant a smooth transition for her to primary school. Thank you so much High Legh Pre School for everything!

Both of our children have attended High Legh Pre School from 11 months old, they both settled in really well and we love that it is a smaller nursery that works around child led play! Our girls have thrived since they started and they absolutely love it! Highly recommend!

Both my children attended High Legh Preschool and had such a wonderful time. They loved the homely environment and were always so well cared for. When they moved to the new building they enjoyed the beautiful outdoors space, being surrounded by nature and all the amazing field trips they went on to local farms and the garden centre for example. The close links they have with High Legh Primary school are fantastic for when they transitioned into reception class. Would not hesitate to recommend, especially with the new baby room opening in 2020.
