Hinckley Road Nursery, established in 2007, is an Outstanding rated (13 July 2022) childcare setting catering to children aged 2 to 4 years. 30pm, the nursery provides a stimulating and well-organised environment where children are exceptionally happy and feel safe.
The dedicated staff ensure a thorough settling-in process, fostering strong bonds between children and their key persons. This nurturing approach, combined with clear daily routines for hygiene and behaviour, cultivates respect and exemplary conduct among the children.
The curriculum is meticulously implemented, building on children's interests and prior learning. Hinckley Road Nursery excels in providing comprehensive support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
Staff proactively identify potential developmental delays, work collaboratively with parents and other professionals, and implement individual learning plans to ensure excellent progress. Outdoor learning is a significant feature, with opportunities for managed risks through forest school activities, including a fire pit and rope swing.
Children enthusiastically engage in practical learning, eagerly putting on their wellington boots to explore the mud kitchen. The nursery also places a strong emphasis on communication and language development through singing, storytelling, and rich interactions, alongside extensive opportunities to develop literacy skills, including a reading book scheme.

Inclusion & environment
The provision for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) is comprehensive. This helps to ensure that children with SEND make rapid progress, given their starting points.

It was like children were under military rule. My son had spilt milk, and the little 3-year-old was told off for it. The nursery didn't open the door as I was 2 minutes late for a 2 PM play. It had not even started. If your child is late, they make you wait 10 minutes outside the door.
