Our ethos

At Tiddlers we feel passionately about child led learning where children’s interests and fascinations are respected and nurtured. We follow the ‘Curiosity Approach’ which means loose parts, authentic objects and open-ended resources form the basis of our exciting curriculum. The staff team are skilled in developing children’s self esteem and confidence based on their individual learning style and preference. This ensures that children are not only keen learners but also develop their ability to take risks and embrace challenge. Our beautiful environment supports independence and develops resilience by offering babies and children a whole range of interesting and where possible natural resources to choose from. Physical and emotional access to resources and equipment is encouraged and staff play alongside children in a way that maximises teachable moments therefore ensuring children reach their potential. Respectful and high-quality interaction and engagement are at the top of our agenda and staff spend their time building and maintaining strong, caring relationships with children and their families. We respect parents and carers as children’s first and most important educators and will work in respectful partnership with you to meet the very unique needs of your family.

SEND provision

Provision for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) is a particular strength. Staff work extremely closely with parents and other professionals involved in children's lives to ensure sharply focused development plans support children to make the best progress. Staff place great importance on ensuring their knowledge and understanding of all relevant information relating to specific medical needs are robust.

Outdoor space

Children benefit from fresh air and exercise. They enjoy spending time outside being physically active and exploring their environment. Children enjoy learning about how things grow and the life cycle of plants.
