About this day nursery

Home-Grown At The Wyche Institute, established in 2018, offers childcare for children aged 3-4 years old. 30pm, the nursery provides a safe and stimulating environment where staff meticulously plan activities to build on each child's existing knowledge and skills.

This dedicated approach ensures all children make excellent progress across all areas of learning. The curriculum is expertly designed to foster communication, language development, and prepare children for reading.

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities thrive here, as staff are ambitious and creative, working closely with parents and other professionals to rapidly close any learning gaps. The outdoor environment at Home-Grown At The Wyche Institute is equally well utilised to spark children's curiosity, with opportunities for mathematical language development through sorting and matching games, and problem-solving as they engage in imaginative play like washing wheeled toys.

Teaching is rooted in expert knowledge, and children display exemplary behaviour, showing high motivation during activities and a clear understanding of daily routines. The small size of the nursery allows for extremely close relationships between staff, children, and families, with an inclusive approach that identifies and nurtures each child's unique qualities and learning styles.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities thrive in this environment because staff are ambitious and creative in their approach. Staff work extremely closely with parents and other professionals to help close any gaps in learning rapidly.

Outdoor space

The outdoor environment is used equally well to ignite children's curiosity. Children confidently use mathematical language as they sort and match wet socks and peg them on the line. They problem solve and work exceptionally well in groups, as they wash their wheeled toys in the pretend car wash and consider how best to dry them.
