A unique aspect of Welland Pre-school is its parent-led committee, ensuring that children's needs remain the top priority in all decisions. The pre-school operates during term-time, mirroring local school hours.

Morning sessions run from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a lunch session from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, and afternoon sessions from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. They also provide a breakfast club from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM.

To aid children in settling and feeling comfortable, a minimum of two sessions per week on separate days is generally required.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff are attentive to the individual needs of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Interactions between staff and children with SEND are kind and warm. Staff have strong support from the special educational needs coordinator and work closely with other professionals to make timely referrals so that children get the early and ongoing support they need.

Outdoor space

Children delight in acting out the story of 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt'. Children excitedly shout out the familiar words as they stomp around the garden, which widens their vocabulary.
