Playhouse Nursery, established in 1986, is located in the heart of Great Malvern and is dedicated to fostering child development through its 'Learning through play' philosophy. The nursery provides a safe and engaging environment for children from Malvern, Worcester, and surrounding areas.
A team of qualified professionals ensures each child receives personalised care and attention, with individual key persons assigned to support their growth. The nursery offers flexible time slots and provides wholesome, organic meals.

The friendly and nurturing staff greet children with care and engage in meaningful conversations with families to meet their needs. They plan motivating activities that reflect individual interests and build on development, helping children settle with ease and feel comfortable and safe. Children form close relationships with staff and build friendships with peers from a young age.
Fees are structured around full days, morning sessions with lunch, and afternoon sessions without lunch. A discounted rate is offered for full-time bookings of five days. Funded children are subject to consumable charges for meals and nappies, though parents can opt-out by supplying their own resources.

Inclusion & environment
There are stringent processes in place to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Leaders are passionate about providing every child with the very best early education. They work in close collaboration with parents and professionals to ensure children with SEND receive the greatest support at the earliest opportunity. Staff set realistic, yet challenging, targets to enable children with SEND to make the best possible progress.
The inspector observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact that this was having on children's learning.
