About this day nursery

Honey Pot Day Nursery offers government-funded childcare to help families in England with early education costs. Children aged 9 months to 4 years old may be eligible for 15 or 30 funded hours per week, depending on age and family circumstances.

While funded hours cover childcare and early education, the nursery charges an "Enhanced Provision package" to cover additional costs such as meals, trips, extra-curricular activities, and consumables like wipes and sun cream. Parents can opt out of this package.

The nursery operates year-round, and funding is stretched across the year to provide consistent support. Honey Pot Nurseries utilises the Famly online system, a secure, GDPR-compliant app that allows parents to receive updates on their child's day, communicate with staff, and manage payments.

This system helps foster a strong partnership between parents and the nursery, while also providing a digital learning journey for each child. They also provide support for families with additional needs, helping them access extra funding and resources.

Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

A key strength of the nursery is the support it has in place for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Staff communicate exceptionally well with parents and other professionals to ensure that children's needs are consistently met. Practical targets and superbly tailored teaching enable children to make excellent progress from their starting points.

Outdoor space

Children participate in a wealth of activities that support them in developing their physical skills. For example, they benefit from the physical challenges of the outdoor garden, using large muscles to climb, run, balance, cycle, pour and dig. Children are also beginning to learn how to assess their own risks as they navigate the climbing wall and rope ladders.

I can not rate Honey Pots highly enough. We moved our daughter when she was two after we had issues with her previous nursery. The transition communication and introduction sessions were exceptional. From the get go it was clear that it was a well managed, well structured and well staffed nursery. After 6 months I can happily say Honey Pots has changed ours and our daughters life! They are so considerate and loving towards the children and exceptional at communicating with parents and setting clear expectations. The curriculum they offer is engaging, well rounded, fun and loving. It is genuinely a pleasure dropping our daughter off and knowing she is so well looked after. Fatima is exceptional and really is passionate about the ethos of the nursery and learning in an active, fun and engaged way. It is notable on the stay and plays that it is not just our daughter who is thriving here and all other parents appear relaxed and happy with their kids being here. The clubs and external activities available are exceptional and all get a fair chance across the years to experience the different things on offer. Room staff are really caring and as far as I can tell staff turn over isn’t high creating stability and a solid environment for relationship building with the kids. After our previous nursery experience we are extremely grateful to have our daughter here. Thank you all X

Honeypot is such a warm and inviting nursery, the staff are always so welcoming and comforting that I felt so reassured when my child first started. My child absolutely loves coming to honeypot and he engages in such educational and engaging activities. I love how honeypot have projects that the children learn about throughout the month! Honeypot also have a lot of extra curricular activities which I think is great!

I don’t have enough good words for this nursery! From my niece & nephew going 9 years ago & 5 years ago to now my own little girl attending, Honeypot Aigburth was the only nursery I wanted my little girl to go to as I trusted the staff completely & knew she would be safe & receive the best care & teaching whilst there! Fatima, Chloe, Sarah-Lou, Maysa, Morgan & Michelle just to name a few go above & beyond for all the children & always have their best interests at heart. The nursery has such a warm & inviting feel & the monthly projects are a great scheme they do to promote learning & development for all different areas. The nursery’s Outstanding OfSted review reflects this & I would recommend Honeypot Aigburth to anyone!
