About this day nursery

Kelton Nursery and After School, located in a spacious Victorian house in Mossley Hill, provides childcare and education for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years, along with an Afterschool Club and Holiday Club for 5 to 10-year-olds. The nursery operates for 51 weeks a year, offering high-quality care in a secure and nurturing environment.

Established in the 1960s, the nursery evolved from a facility for unmarried mothers into a community-led institution. It is now managed by a parent committee and a dedicated management team, all committed to delivering exceptional childcare.

As a registered charity and not-for-profit organisation, all fees are reinvested into the nursery to enhance the children's experiences and maintain high standards of care. The outdoor space, spanning a third of an acre, offers ample room for children to play and explore.

We love everything about Kelton Nursery, the staff look after our little girl so well, and she has a wonderful time there. We get daily updates and photos on the app. The garden is fantastic too.

Brilliant nursery. Staff build strong relationships with the kids. Always doing little projects or giving them new experiences. Parents need to understand that nurseries are under huge pressure due to funding and are doing their best.

Nothing but good things to say about Kelton. Daughter here for her first 18 months and they were great throughout. Catered for her food allergies very well. Special thanks to Amy who was exceptional.

Management do not look after theor staff at all. All they are interested in is profit. Shame as staff try and do their best. Should be inspected by local authority to protect staff and children. But parents need to understand they are not miracle workers. Owners are rude and inconsiderate.

Not a good calibre of staff working here. If you can find somewhere else to leave your child then I would highly recommend that you do!!!
