About this day nursery

Hook Pre-School, established in 1970, provides a nurturing and stimulating environment for children in Chessington, Surrey. Operating from Hook Parish Hall, the preschool focuses on promoting social, physical, and intellectual development through a well-rounded curriculum.

The dedicated and qualified staff encourage imaginative, manipulative, creative, and physical play, while also fostering an understanding of positive behaviour and manners. The preschool embraces the philosophy of "learning through play," offering both morning and afternoon sessions to accommodate diverse family needs.

They welcome inquiries from prospective families throughout the year, with options for funded and unfunded places. The preschool maintains an open-door policy, inviting parents to arrange visits and experience their welcoming atmosphere firsthand.

Children are encouraged to participate in a "Learning Journey" with the "Journey Family" characters, fostering engagement and sharing experiences from home. The pre-school communicates actively with parents via email and phone, ensuring a collaborative approach to each child's early education.
