Outdoor space

As there is no outdoor area on site, staff take children out in groups to the local park. Children enjoy blowing bubbles, watering the plants, playing a parachute game or having a swing, which helps them develop physical skills and confidence.

We sent our son to Hornsey Day Nursery from 13 months to 22 months. He absolutely loved his time here, even climbing in the pram in the mornings ready to go. They are incredibly organised and friendly, and the nursery was always very tidy, clean and welcoming. We have stopped sending our son as we have now moved away from the area, but would have definitely stayed if we were able to. The baby site has no outdoor space itself, which could be seen as a negative. However, they are walked to a nearby park every day twice a day and this has taught our son to hold onto a pram when out and about which is some great added road safety for when we are with him.

Our daughter attended this nursery full time from 10 months old and despite being quite shy she was always happy going in and thoroughly enjoyed her time here. They have such a variety of activities and the staff are so caring. Her speech, counting, confidence and social interactions have all developed so much over her time here. Would highly recommend to any parents looking for a highly rated nursery. Thank you to all the team for looking after her so well.

This is a really lovely nursery. I am so grateful it was recommended to us. The staff are incredibly kind and caring and we felt they had a genuine bond with our daughter. Our daughter was settled in the baby room from day one and loved going there. They do lots of varied creative activities with the children, including cooking together every week. The food, made by their full time chef, is also fantastic. Our daughter ate everything there without fail. I’d wholeheartedly recommend this nursery to anyone. We were very sad when the time came to leave.

We took our daughter to this nursery from the time she was in the baby room until we moved abroad, when she was almost three years old. Our experience was truly excellent from start to finish. The staff were always caring and very professional. We could clearly see our daughter’s development — not only in her learning and communication skills, but also in her confidence and social abilities. The environment was warm and stimulating, and we always felt she was safe and well looked after. We’re very grateful for the dedication of the team and the genuine affection they showed every day. It’s hard to say goodbye to such a wonderful place. We wholeheartedly recommend this nursery to any family looking for a nurturing and professional early-years experience.

Our son attended Hornsey Day Nursery for three months, and we couldn’t be happier with the care he received. The staff were warm, attentive, and made him feel safe and welcome from day one.
