Hurley Pre-School, located in Kennington, SE11 4PB, offers quality and affordable childcare and education for children aged 21 months to 5 years, operating 50 weeks a year. The pre-school is open from 8am to 6pm, with four days annually reserved for staff training closures.
Registered for 36 children per session, Hurley Pre-School provides a dedicated and spacious area for children under three to foster their physical development. The institution is a voluntary community group, a registered charity (Charity No. 1000974), and a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance, adhering to OFSTED guidelines (Reg.
No. 144055). A parent-carer committee manages the pre-school, ensuring all staff are trained in safeguarding and Paediatric First Aid.
The admissions policy prioritizes children based on immediate need, local residency, and other welfare considerations, aiming to reflect the local community's cultural diversity and maintain gender balance. The pre-school also maintains strong links with local community resources, including the Ethelred Children’s Centre and Health Centres, and supports children's transition to local schools.
Fundraising activities, such as charity events, are held to support the pre-school's operations.

They say that staff work well to make sure that children are settled and self-assured.
Parents appreciate the extra lengths staff go to so they have a good knowledge of their children's individual care needs and family circumstances.
Inclusion & environment

Read on GoogleFantastic nursery that puts people before profits. The staff are all happy and have bags of experience. They’ve worked really hard with my son on his development, he is very happy there. Don’t be deceived by the brutalist exterior to this place, it’s light and spacious with a big outdoor play area. Thank you Hurley!
