About this day nursery

Incey Wincy's Day Nursery, located in South Woodford, London, has evolved from a home-based childminding service into a well-established nursery. The nursery's ethos is centred around fostering confident, competent, and happy children through an inspiring learning environment.

They implement the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, focusing on seven areas of development: personal, social and emotional development, communication and language, physical development, literacy, mathematics, understanding the world, and expressive arts and design. Learning is primarily play-based and child-led, with activities tailored to individual interests and needs, and progress is tracked using the 'Tapestry' online journal system.

The consistent and dedicated staff team, many of whom are highly qualified, prioritise continuous professional development and maintain a strong commitment to the children's well-being and happiness. The nursery is owned and managed by Hannah Ince, who holds a First Class Honours Degree in Early Education Studies, working alongside Manager April Rohen and Assistant Manager Asha Luckie-Robinson.

Our ethos

We believe strongly that the children that we care for should be inspired and take the lead in their learning, thus encouraging them to be confident, competent and happy. Through a wide range of equipment and resources, we implement the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). It is proven that children under 5 learn best through play and that is very much our ethos. While activities are planned, and adult-led initially, much of what the children learn is led by them and their interests.

Couldn’t be happier with this nursery. My child has been coming here since opening. They do different activities with the children, staff are professional but welcoming with all the children. Above all my child is happy to be there and I feel confident he is well looked after and safe
