How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are supported well; staff identify children who need additional support and put strategies in place to support their progress. They work closely with parents and external professionals, such as health visitors, and children with SEND make good progress in their learning and development.

Outdoor space

Children discuss the most appropriate clothing to wear outside in the cold weather. The inspector observed the quality of education during activities both indoors and outdoors.

EAL / language support

Staff effectively support children who speak English as an additional language by gathering key words from parents and using visual aids to help children understand routines and what will happen next.

I can't say enough good things about Innsworth preschool! My son is usually really clingy as he has never left me before, but they were so understanding and let me have several stay and play sessions with him. I've checked out many nurseries in the area, but this one stands out as my favourite by far. I love how it’s family ran and always the same staff members. They also hold different activities daily which has been nice to watch on our stay and plays. My little boy absolutely loves his time there, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a caring and welcoming preschool environment

We love Innsworth Preschool. It is the second year that my son goes there and it is now a second family for him, where he spends most of the day. Easy-to-talk staff, very professional, problem-solving oriented, very kind and attentive to my son's needs. My son loves every single teacher and speaks very dearly about them at home. I would totally recommend it. 👍😊

Despite our initial skepticism about sending our 2.5-year-old to preschool, circumstances led us to make the decision. Enrolling our little girl at Innsworth Preschool has turned out to be an excellent choice. We're delighted with her progress, especially in developing good dining habits and enhancing her communication and problem-solving skills. The staff at Innsworth Preschool are not only friendly but also deeply involved in our child's development. They keep us well-informed about activities at the preschool and provide regular updates on our child's progress, which is incredibly reassuring for us as parents. If you're in search of a safe and nurturing environment for your little one, I wholeheartedly recommend Innsworth Preschool. It's been a positive experience for our family, and we're grateful for the care and support our child receives there.

Really lovely setting. Small family ran. Wonderful staff. The kids spend so much time outdoors it’s brilliant for them. They have CCTV which others nearby don’t. The costs for food also very reasonable. Same key worker is always in and not changed so no routine disturbed. Very happy with my choice here
