Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Leaders and staff identify children's needs promptly and accurately, working effectively with parents and external professionals to provide consistent care and targeted support. Additional funding is well-targeted to close learning gaps and improve outcomes for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities.

Outdoor space

Leaders and staff promote healthy lifestyles, providing nutritious meals and ensuring children spend plenty of time outdoors, benefitting from fresh air and regular physical exercise. Older children eagerly test their balance as they pretend to walk the plank on balance beams or run from a dinosaur during imaginative outdoor play.

EAL / language support

The nursery gathers information regarding children's cultures and languages spoken at home, but does not consistently use this information to target support for children who speak English as an additional language.

I attend this nursery for weekly music & movement visits and have done since Sept 2023. I always look forward to Wednesday mornings as It is such a pleasure to visit! The team at Mottershead drive are wonderful, so encouraging and nurturing with the children. It is clear to see all members of staff care very much for each child and ensure individual needs are met. They all work hard in supporting the children, myself & their colleagues. The nursery’s manager, Chloe is extremely efficient & leads by example to the rest of the team. The nursery has a very lovely family feel to it which projects throughout each room from babies through to preschool. I hope to work with the team at MD for a long time to come and look forward to our future sessions together. Keep up the good work everyone! You are all wonderful ⭐️
