About this day nursery

Jigsaws Childcare is a nursery dedicated to nurturing, inspiring, challenging, and enthusing children during their foundational years. The nursery believes in fostering the individual growth of each child, providing them with the opportunity to flourish in a supportive environment.

With a focus on quality teaching staff and resources, Jigsaws Childcare aims to cultivate creative and competent learners. A core aspect of their philosophy involves extensive outdoor access, allowing children to engage with nature and develop important skills in different settings.

The team is dedicated to creating a secure and caring atmosphere that values respectful relationships and promotes exploration, including regular Forest School sessions led by trained staff. Age-specific rooms cater to different developmental stages, from Crawlers (3-15 months) to Discoverers (age 3 to pre-school) and Adventurers (preschool to Year 6) who also have access to "wrap-around care" for before and after school hours.

Jigsaws Childcare also places emphasis on providing homemade meals. They are also undertaking a new project to rebuild their current site to ensure sustainable childcare for the local community.

Our nursery aims to nurture, inspire, challenge and enthuse your child as they take their first steps in the world. We believe all children have the right to flourish as individuals and at our nursery they will be given the time and opportunity to do just that. We aim to provide an environment to enthuse with quality teaching staff and resources, allowing our children to develop as creative, competent learners with lots of access to the many opportunities available outdoors. Our vision is to create a place that is secure and values caring, respectful relationships.

Parents are happy with the care and education that their children receive. They speak positively about staff, describing them as being 'warm, kind and friendly'. They say that they are regularly updated about their children's learning through daily feedback, observations, photos and progress reports.
