Jungle Cubs And Jungle Giants Cic, registered in 2019, operates an all-year childcare provision from The School House at Wetheringsett Primary School, catering to children aged 1 to 8 years. The nursery provides a calm, home-like atmosphere with comfy armchairs and soft lighting, encouraging children to be inquisitive and explore various objects indoors and outdoors.
They are open from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm on Mondays and Tuesdays, and 7:30 am to 4:00 pm from Wednesdays to Fridays. Children confidently make choices about their play and move resources around with ease.
Staff adeptly support children in developing good manners, sharing, and taking turns, through positive role-modelling and encouragement. The nursery creatively uses all available space, including a cosy area under the stairs with soft furnishings for quiet time and reading.
Healthy habits are promoted through daily routines, such as handwashing before meals and exploring different foods at snack time. The outdoor area is enjoyed by children, who delight in activities like chasing bubbles, with staff ensuring its safety through daily checks and risk assessments.
Staff at Jungle Cubs And Jungle Giants Cic pride themselves on knowing each child well, fostering strong attachments, and working closely with parents to incorporate children's interests and developmental needs into planning.
