About this day nursery

Kaleidoscope Childcare, established in 2018, offers a nurturing "Good" rated early years provision for children aged 2 to 4 years. Open Monday to Friday from 9am until 3pm during term-time, the nursery provides a stimulating environment where children are happy and settled.

They confidently engage in challenging activities, building meaningful friendships and developing independence as they choose their play. Children learn about healthy eating by growing produce like strawberries and tomatoes, which they then prepare and eat.

Physical skills are developed through activities such as yoga. Staff at Kaleidoscope Childcare know each child well, planning activities that promote good progress and offering a diverse range of resources.

They foster secure and trusting relationships, ensuring children settle quickly and have a strong sense of belonging. The nursery effectively supports all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).

They work closely with speech and language therapists, using strategies like picture communication to help children reach their full potential. The curriculum also introduces children to diverse cultures, with activities like learning simple Polish words and trying Polish foods.

Both of our children have absolutely loved going to Kaleidoscope. The staff are all so lovely, caring and flexible. After our first child worked his way up from the 2 year old room to the over 3’s and then off to school he was fully prepared and the transition was brilliant. We were a bit more nervous about our second child starting , during the pandemic meant very little interaction for a long time with new people, but we needn’t have worried as she settled in no problems. I like that they do a lot of outdoors play/learning and often go on little outings around the village. Both of our children have loved all of the messy play too! We would definitely recommend Kaleidoscope to others.

My daughter has thrived at Kaleidoscope. The staff are all fantastic and we would highly recommend them. It's a very caring environment and my daughter loves her time there. We will certainly be requesting a place for our son when he's old enough.

Excellent pre-school, my children have thrived with Kaleidoscope and I would highly recommend to anyone over and above any private nursery. Kaleidoscope provide a beautiful community feel childcare with plenty of one-to-one interaction, parent interaction and independent development.

A great place to send your child. My son has really benefited from his time there after missing a year due to lockdown he has made great progress. All the staff have done a great job and using the family app means they constantly update you with photos about what the kids are doing.
