Little Oaks Ashford is a purpose-built nursery located within the grounds of William Harvey Hospital, offering a discounted rate to employees of the East Kent Trust. The nursery is rated 'Good' by Ofsted and prioritises a nurturing and stimulating environment for learning, emphasised by an open-door policy for parents to foster partnership in their child's development, supported by a highly effective key person approach within small family groups.
The facility features four rooms tailored for specific age groups: a baby room/explorers (3 months–2 years), two toddler rooms/adventures (18 months–3 years), and a pre-school room/investigators (3–5 years). Each room is designed to provide safe and stimulating environments that promote learning through play and exploration.
Children also benefit from a large, fully enclosed garden with both grass and soft-play areas, where they are encouraged to engage in gardening activities. The nursery provides wet-weather gear to ensure children can access the garden in all conditions.
A team of highly qualified staff are dedicated to making learning fun and exploring individual interests. Fresh, home-cooked meals are prepared daily by the chef, Carol, ensuring a healthy and nutritious diet for the children.

Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are well supported. The special educational needs coordinator works with outside agencies and parents to provide children with any additional help they may need, ensuring correct plans are in place and attending meetings to provide evidence.
The outdoor area sparks children's curiosity and allows them to further their understanding of the natural world. For example, children help care for chickens and grow their own flowers and plants in the nursery garden. Babies, toddlers and pre-school children all have the opportunity to progress in their physical development, with staff strengthening core strength through climbing and physical activities, including children's yoga.
The Staff are always very attentive and welcoming. My son comes out happy and full of chatter after a full day and really enjoys going. Would highly recommend this nursery to any nervous parents as they truly care about the children in their care.
Read on GoogleMy son (5 years old) attends the Holiday Club at this nursery! He absolutely loves it!! The teachers plan fun activities and keep the kids busy throughout the day!! All the staff are lovely! I highly recommend this nursery for any age child!!!
Read on GooglePlease do not send your child here, for your child’s sake. On numerous occasions my Son appeared uncared for during collection. My Son began to experience night terrors, started to anxiously bite his nails, lost confidence and withdrew whilst he was there. We made the wise decision to remove him from this nursery and thank God he is now thriving.
