About this day nursery

Kiddisafe Day Nursery, located in Leicester, LE5 4LE, is dedicated to providing expert care for children. The nursery operates on a rolling admissions basis, with registration periods aligned with September, January, and April start dates.

Kiddisafe prides itself on fostering a welcoming and diverse community through continuous education. They accept various government-funded childcare schemes, including Universal Entitlement for 3 and 4-year-olds, 15 hours for working parents of 9-month to 2-year-olds, and an extended 30 hours entitlement for eligible working parents from 9 months upwards (starting September 2025).

They also offer 15 hours for 2-year-olds from single-income and benefit-claiming households. Additionally, Tax-Free Childcare and most work-based childcare vouchers are accepted.

The nursery adheres to the EYFS framework, with a capacity of 48 children under 10 years old, 42 of whom can be under 5, and 7 under 1 year old at any given time. Prior to admission, parents are required to provide comprehensive information regarding their child's medical, additional, and dietary needs, as well as family background and emergency contacts, to ensure individualised care and safety.

What it's like

All children are warmly welcomed into this inclusive nursery. Staff give children individual time to settle and children understand nursery routines. Resources are chosen to promote children's interests and physical skills are developed using garden equipment. Staff include maths in activities, but support for communication and language is not strong enough, resulting in children often being quiet.

Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff plan small group activities and provide one-to-one focus for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities to help them to make some progress. They use additional funding to purchase specific resources to support this. However, leaders do not always swiftly identify when a child needs a referral to external professionals, and do not ensure they have all of the relevant information needed to inform the referral, which can delay children's progress.

Outdoor space

Staff help children to develop their physical skills, for example, as they use the equipment in the garden. The inspector observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact that this was having on children's learning.

My child settled in really well, even though it was his first time in any nursery. The staff are very caring and well-trained. Heena is an excellent member of the team — she always listens to our needs and keeps us updated about our child’s day. I’m really happy with the nursery experience!

My 22 month old started here recently and I hand to heart could not have prayed for a better preschool for him. The entire settling in process was done with so much care and and continuous reassurance for me. Jibreel feels at home and happy! And is progressing in leaps and bounds and above all the care from every single member of staff is so genuine and pure! I feel content at heart knowing he is in the best of hands. The lead Fatima has been amazing and so has all the staff, Juliana, Fatima and Zainab to mention a few! I also wanted to add Heena and Hazra were both so kind and reassuring during the entire process of settling jibreel into preschool. There were many more kind and friendly staff and I wish I could add all their names here. Don’t hesitate to send your kids here!

The nursery has been incredible helping my little one to settle. They have tried all sorts of different ways to see what would work, and they work with the parents and focus on each child, tailoring to each child's individual needs. All children are not painted with the same brush, it is whatever works best for each of them. Really appreciate what they all do. The nursery is incredible and I would highly recommend it.
