I visit Kids Planet Greenbank once a week to deliver phonics sessions. The children are happy, confident and thriving. That's down to the amazing staff who are welcoming, kind, supportive and have created a beautiful environment for children to thrive. Well done team x

We had a string of bad experiences with our child attending here, and could not recommend strongly enough that you at least consider taking your child elsewhere. There are many positive reviews, and that's all well and good - the first few months were 'ok' for us, but then things went down hill fast. I would under no circumstance send a child of mine there again, and would recommend to any friends or family that they do they same. Out of fairness I will simply list the undeniable facts here relating to our experiences for the benefits of others. - The baby room leader who our 1 year old had developed a nice bond with, suddenly left. We were only told about this some days after the leaders final day. - Our daughter along with other babies was then suddenly rushed up to tots room early around this time, because it suited the business. - On collecting her, more than once, nobody seemed to know which room she was supposed to be in that day. Fire safety anyone? - Multiple times on drop off or collection we saw that the ratio of staff to children was either too few, or right on the line. We were always told this was due to very circumstancial, momentary reasons. - On her first official day in the tots room, she banged herself in the face with a stainless steel cup with an edge sharp enough to leave a 2 inch cut on her forehead that broke the skin, while 'playing' with another child, much bigger and stronger than her, and who was walking (our daughter wasn't at this stage despite being moved up). No explanation of what actually happened was given to us. When the toy in question was queried we were told 'oh they just have different toys in here that your child isn't used to'. Yeah. Sharp, metal ones. Nice. Just what a room of 1 year olds should be playing with. - We found one evening that there was a mysterious hole burned into our daughter's coat, it had melted the material under one arm. We were told this would be investigated we never heard back about it. - Within less than 4 days of our daughter having been moved hurriedly to the tots room , she was fed a recorded and notified allergen food (fish) for one meal. We were told that this would be investigated. We never received any follow up. Or conclusion as to how that happened, or why, or what steps were being implemented to ensure that it did not happen again. - We found that our daughter had been put into a nappy of a brand she is uncomfortable in, despite providing whole packs of our own, and that was at least 2 sizes too small, on more than one day. - we had so many days where the app was never updated and had to instead phone to find out how much sleep she had had, or what she had eaten that day. - One member of the staff in the tots room was always extremely defensive and aggressive in her communications, and was often quite rude and dismissive. - there is no general manager , and instead the deputy currently runs this nursery and has done for a very long time now. - When challenged about all of the above experiences, the fact that there is currently no manager was given as one excuse. Now, all of the above are indisputable facts that can be evidenced in various ways. The lasting impression we have of this nursery is that the decision making is based more around what works for the business and what makes or saves money, than around what is best for the children under their care. That's a shocking thing to be writing in a review, but nevertheless it is exactly an account of what we have experienced and the impression that this experience has left us with. Our hope is that other parents have a better time. Our daughter no longer attends this nursery, fortunately, as we have moved house to our now family home, hopefully for the last time until she is grown up. I would like to say that some of the staff are absolutely lovely, and none of the above is aimed at them. Had we been informed more fully and given more respect and comms by the nursery, this review probably wouldn't have been written publicly. We expected better when it comes to childcare.

What a wonderful start to my Grandsons life,the years he spent here before recently starting school helped to give him the confident and happy foundations he now has at school.He loved every day here!The staff are fantastic with the children, from newborn to preschool.It has a lovely long garden for them to play in with masses of toys,and each room has quiet corner,dressing up area,painting,you name it never a dull moment for kids.At three years old the work begins to build a solid numerical and alphabet base preparing them for the future.I really can't recommend them enough!
