About this day nursery

30 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday, except for bank holidays. The nursery received a 'Good' rating in its latest Ofsted inspection on 26th June 2025 across all areas, including the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership and management.

Children are welcomed by friendly and positive staff, fostering secure relationships with their key person. Babies are encouraged to build early vocabulary through songs and stories, while toddlers learn to express feelings and engage in sensory exploration.

Older children are supported in developing independence skills crucial for school readiness. The nursery places a strong emphasis on a well-planned and ambitious curriculum that caters to individual needs, building on existing knowledge and skills.

A notable strength is the provision for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), where excellent early intervention practices ensure children receive tailored support to make progress. Staff collaborate closely with parents, professionals, and other agencies to deliver the best possible care.

The outdoor area is being developed to include a space for growing vegetables, which children can use for snacks, and parents can access with recipe cards. Used to be a 5-star nursery, but since Kids Planet took over, everything has gone downhill. The staff is amazing, and the facilities are great, but upper management needs to step up. Since Kids Planet's acquisition, many staff members have left, leaving the remaining staff clearly overworked and stressed. On one occasion, our son was almost turned away because there weren't enough staff members to meet the required staff-to-children ratio. Additionally, this nursery has become incredibly expensive. After the 30-hour childcare entitlement, we used to pay around £780. However, following the Kids Planet acquisition, the price increased by nearly £300 in a single month. This has forced many parents to make alternative childcare arrangements or reduce their working hours, as the nursery has become unaffordable for full-time care.
