About this day nursery

Kids Planet Knightlow is a purpose-built day nursery located in the scenic Warwickshire village of Stretton on Dunsmore, on the site of Knightlow Primary School. The nursery prides itself on providing a warm, welcoming, and fully accessible environment where children can flourish.

Inside, spacious rooms are designed to be secure and engaging for all age groups, featuring dedicated areas for sensory and messy play. Extending the learning outdoors, the nursery boasts a fantastic natural learning space where children are encouraged to explore, engage in mud painting, and discover insects.

A covered deck and sheltered sandpit ensure that outdoor play is enjoyable in all weather conditions. The nursery is managed by Rosie Thompson, who holds a BA (Hons) in Childhood Education and has over 13 years of experience in childcare, alongside Cathy Vaughan, who has been in childcare since 2010 and holds a Level 3 SenCo qualification.

Both managers are dedicated to fostering a nurturing environment where children feel secure, valued, and inspired to learn, emphasising play-based learning and strong partnerships with families to support each child's individual development, confidence, curiosity, and independence.

Our ethos

I am committed to creating a warm, nurturing environment where every child feels safe, valued, and inspired to learn. With several years of experience in early years education, I am dedicated to supporting each child’s individual development through play-based learning and strong partnerships with families. I believe that the early years are the foundation for a lifelong love of learning, and I feel privileged to lead a caring team that helps children grow in confidence, curiosity, and independence every day.
