Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities receive high levels of support. Experienced staff and leaders work with other professionals and parents to create a joined-up approach, using assessments to review progress and identify further support. Adaptations are made to support individual children, including the use of signing.
Babies enjoy exploring the garden with staff, engaging in self-initiated play like chasing and ball games. Leaders have begun developing a sensory area and outdoor classroom, with forest school qualified staff leading this, to improve outdoor learning experiences.
Staff are skilled in supporting children learning English as an additional language, adapting their teaching and offering dual-language books to help children become familiar with books in both their home languages and English.
