Roundhay Montessori is a fantastic nursery with staff providing detailed feedback each day. My child is showing signs of additional needs and the nursery have facilitated this. I have had regular meetings, and communication is great. The staff are so loving and kind. I feel good dropping my child there every morning. He loves it. They are currently refurbishing and it's looking great. Great nursery, great staff. Would recommend to anyone.
Read on GoogleThe nursery has come along way over the past 18 months. Under the new manager (Vicky) and deputy manager (Carrie Anne) lots of wonderful changes have been made. I'm really pleased with the direction of travel that the nursery is in. One of my children have been there for 3 years now and I have such confidence in the nursery that I've put my infant son in too. There was a period of high staff turnover in the recent past, however, this has stabilised. There are several staff in every room who have been there for many years and know the children very well. I've never been concerned about the level of care from the staff towards my children. There has been a huge improvement since the new manager(s) started around communication with parents throughout the day but also with parent forums which are happening now regularly. The manager is always responsive to phone calls, emails and when you see her in person if you have any doubts. I'm excited about what's to come over the next year with Forest School on the cards, increased Montessori activities, visits into the local community by the children. Yes, the nursery went through a rocky patch but we're happy we stuck it out as it's a night and day difference since the new management started. My children are very happy at the nursery, bonded with their key workers and wider nursery staff. I'd be happy to recommend the nursery to prospective parents now.
Read on GoogleI gave another try with our second child and I am not disappointed. The nursery has come a long way under the new management - improvements in general, good communication with parents (regular forums), new activities for children, happier staff and the planned refurbishment which is exciting. There is still no Montessori accreditation (there are still some trained staff though) but I know there is a lot of work in the background for this to be obtained. Much happier than some years ago with everything.
Read on GoogleReally happy with how the nursery is now. The staff and management are so friendly and hardworking and the children love going in. Activities follow the children’s interests and they spend lots of time outside. Love all the updates on the app.
Read on GoogleMuch the same as the other reviews. It was really good in the beginning (2+ years ago), but went downhill. I was not happy with the care given to my child in the last 6 months she was there, I worried about her safety and the level of care numerous times. A lot of the staff are agency staff. I didn’t get regular feedback and didn’t realise how bad this was until I moved her to a new nursery. I must note my child has been out of this nursery for 4 months now.
