Les Petites Etoiles Bilingual Montessori Paddington is a private bilingual nursery and preschool catering to children from 6 months to 4 years old. Situated in central London, the nursery integrates the Montessori approach with a vibrant multilingual atmosphere, fostering development in every stage of a child's early years.
The curriculum follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and the Montessori method, offering a tailored and balanced learning experience where children's interests guide their education. Educators adapt activities to various abilities, supporting children at their own pace.
The nursery proudly received an Ofsted recognition for its nurturing care, multilingual support, and dedicated team. Full daily exposure to French and English is provided through native-speaking educators who use the "one person, one language" method.
An introduction to Mandarin programme, led by specialist teachers, also sparks interest in a third language. The team comprises Montessori-trained educators, bilingual specialists, and compassionate individuals with a strong understanding of child development, many of whom are parents themselves.
The nursery operates 47 weeks a year, providing full-time childcare with drop-off between 8:00–9:30 AM and pick-up between 4:30–6:00 PM. Mealtimes are a highlight, offering a healthy organic morning snack, a freshly prepared four-course organic lunch, and a nutritious afternoon tea, all cooked on-site without added salt or sugar to encourage healthy eating habits in a social setting.

Inclusion & environment
Leaders liaise with external agencies to seek advice for children with additional needs. This supports staff and builds inclusivity.
Leaders provide opportunities for children to develop their physical skills. Babies can practise their walking and climbing skills on the specialised equipment. Toddlers are helped to develop the muscles in their small hands by threading beads and using scissors to cut. Children in both the toddler and pre-school rooms have regular access to the park, where they can climb, balance and negotiate space. Leaders carefully consider how to help children to learn about the natural environment through daily trips to local parks.
A huge thank you to everyone at the nursery for taking such good care of our two little girls for the last five years! When we were first looking for nurseries, we wanted the best environment for our daughters. We needed a nursery that stayed open until 6pm and where the children were happy, loved and given the chance to play and have fun. Even though Les Petites Etoiles was further away than other options, it ticked all the boxes for us. The dual language care is a huge bonus as we both speak French. We have been thrilled with Les Petites Etoiles. The atmosphere in the nursery is wonderful: the teachers are always kind and friendly and love what they do. The communication with parents is exceptional, clear and thoughtful, with regular updates on what the children have been doing. Our girls have very different personalities, but Les Petites Etoiles supported them both brilliantly and they developed their own relationships with the teachers in a lovely way. If you are starting your time at Les Petites Etoiles, I am very confident you will find the nursery the perfect place for your child to flourish.
Read on GoogleBoth of our children attended Les Petites Étoiles in Paddington for two wonderful years. They started in the Bunnies Room and then moved to the Penguins Room until they turned three. They absolutely thrived at LPE — we couldn’t have wished for a better start to their early education. The teachers and staff are amazing: warm, caring, and truly dedicated. They create such a nurturing environment and always come up with fun, creative, and educational activities for the children. The food is healthy and of great quality. Another thing we really loved about LPE is the sense of community. It’s such a friendly, welcoming place, and we’ve met lots of wonderful families through it. Our children left LPE when they started school in the French system, and it was heartbreaking to say goodbye to such a special place. Thank you LPE for giving our children such a happy and enriching start — we’ll always be grateful.
Read on GoogleOur child attended PLE for three years, and we couldn’t be happier. The teachers are incredibly kind, caring, and genuinely invested in the children’s well-being and development. Our child learned so much during their time there, both in French and English. I was e impressed by everything they picked up from the Bunnies, to the Penguins and the Lions room. The small teacher-to-student ratio really makes a difference, allowing for meaningful one-on-one time to play and learn. The food is honestly 5-star Michelin level, healthy, varied, and delicious. The only minor drawback is that the nursery is located in a basement, but the children go outside regularly, so it’s not really an issue.
Read on GoogleOur both daughters used to go to Les Trois Oursons in 2016-2017. Elena in the Lions room and Sofia in the bunnies room. We cannot recommend the nursery highly enough and we would have definitely continued the next year if we have not moved back to France. For us it was more than a simple nursery. It was like being the part of a family. It is also where I have discovered Montessori methodology. Elena was very shy when she started going at Les Trois Oursons and in the end she was full of confidence, made lots of friends and started talking a lot, both in English and in French. It was also great experience for our little baby Sofia who started the nursery at 10 months. Just a few days to adapt and then she was enjoying every single day there. We would like to say a BIG thank you to the whole team: Regina, Marie-Catherine, Pippa, Anabelle, Maya, Hend, Laure, George. Thank you for everything you have done for Elena and Sofia. Many hugs from Paris :) Tamar & Olivier
Read on GoogleMy son started LPE when he was 14 months old and continued for 3 years and we left in tears for reception. It was such a great journey over the 3 years and leaving our son every morning to capable hands and being sure that he will be taken good care. We are none French speaking family and we feel that we invested our son's future by sending him to a bilingual nursery. Staff is amazing and the communication is very good to understand what is going on in their daily routine.we can only thank and grateful to all staff and teachers of LPE Paddington for amazing 3 years who helped our sons development.
