About this day nursery

25pm to 6pm and a holiday club. Children are happy and welcomed warmly by enthusiastic staff who know each child well, fostering close attachments and a sense of security.

The nursery delivers a broad and interesting curriculum, encouraging children to follow their interests and discover things for themselves. Staff provide high-quality interactions, asking open-ended questions to motivate children to think and communicate.

Learning is supported through meaningful links, helping children to remember and build upon their knowledge. Outdoors, children practise listening skills and learn about the natural world, such as identifying mushrooms in the garden that may be harmful.

The positive learning environment promotes independence, with children serving themselves at mealtimes and taking pride in their achievements. The nursery works in effective partnership with families, sharing assessments and providing ideas for learning at home.

Little Acorns Nursery follows a child-led curriculum inspired by the EYFS framework, prioritising individualised learning and emotional well-being. They foster a supportive atmosphere through a key carer system and encourage partnerships with parents and carers.

Outdoor space

Outdoors, children practise their listening skills as they follow directions and move around the garden in different ways. For example, children learn how the mushrooms that grow in the garden may make them ill.

Such an amazing setting with the most caring and kind staff. All of my 3 children have attending this setting, I will be sad when the last leaves. I cannot recommend this nursery enough. It is a true home from home. Inclusive, safe, fun and educational.
