Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities achieve well. Support is responsive and ensures they develop alongside other children within the setting. Leaders have established a strong, inclusive culture, identifying needs early through ongoing assessment and embedding the graduated approach. They work closely with external professionals, seeking guidance from the local authority special educational needs and/or disabilities team to refine strategies and strengthen practice.
Physical development is strengthened through extensive outdoor provision. Children move confidently across uneven ground and between levels, practising balancing, climbing, and changing direction as they play. Much of the day takes place outside in all weathers, where learning is purposeful and well planned.
My son is in the babies class at Little Foxes and he has come on so much since starting! The team have encouraged every part of his development — from his speech, crawling and walking to all types of mobility. He’s come home doing actions for nursery rhymes and using sign language we’d never even taught him! Every day they plan lovely activities that develop fine motor skills, encourage exploring, and include plenty of sensory play. On my 30th birthday they even made a homemade card and gave me a box of chocolates, which was such a thoughtful touch. For my baby’s birthday they all sang happy birthday, gave him a cake, and even recorded it for us to keep. We also get constant updates throughout the day about what he’s doing and how long he’s slept, with all the times included, which gives us so much peace of mind. It’s a fantastic nursery and if we’re lucky enough to have more children, we’ll definitely be sending them here too. Kelly, Lacey and Libby are especially brilliant — they’re absolutely wonderful!
Read on GoogleWe couldn’t be happier with Little Foxes. From the start, we loved the smaller, family feel of the nursery, and it really shows in the care and attention the children receive. Our daughter had such a great time there, always coming home with a smile and stories about her day. The staff are genuinely kind, caring, and supportive, and we always felt she was in the best hands. We’d highly recommend Little Foxes to any parent looking for a warm and nurturing place for their child. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Many thanks to Kelly, Amber, Lacey, Olivia, Libby, Chloe, Shannon and Kath. Iris loves you all and she will miss you all now that she started school.

Read on GoogleMy little boy attends Foxhouse Nursery and couldn't be happier! The staff are incredibly friendly and approachable. They truly care about the children and their families. They have been so helpful especially as my son had a tricky start with being a lock down baby but they handled this so well. They also helped to prepare him for being a big brother and supported us a family 😊 It really is a special place! Special thanks to Melissa, Kelly and Lacey who my little boy just loves to spend time with. The activities they plan are incredible and the communication with home makes us feel so involved. Thank you!
Read on GoogleBoth my children have loved going to Fox house. It is a small family run setting and my eldest who is 4 has thrived as he loves being outdoors, learning about different topics each term and playing with his friends. Kelly and Amber are always planning activities for the children to learn through play and they are currently helping him prepare for primary school in September. My youngest is in baby room and he enjoys playing and starting to learn. Lacey is always setting up games and activities for the babies to play and will be helping him transition to big room next year. The staff update the app every day with details and pictures of what the children have been doing and complete observations on the children's progress. They organise themed stay and plays every month or two so the parents can come along and see what the children have been learning. We particularly enjoy these as we get to see our children playing with their friends and show us their favourite activities.
