About this day nursery

Little Buttons Day Nursery, situated on the outskirts of Luton in Hertfordshire, operates from a charmingly restored barn amidst picturesque fields and countryside. Established in 2008, it continues to be led by its original manager.

The nursery maintains a team of 15 staff members, all of whom are qualified in paediatric first aid, alongside a full-time cook who prepares nutritious, homemade meals for the children. Little Buttons welcomes children from 3 months old and is open year-round from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm, with closures only on bank holidays.

The nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, emphasising a continuous provision approach where the environment is designed to encourage independent exploration and investigation. Children have access to various learning areas, including those for mark-making, mathematics, creative arts, quiet reflection, and discovery, fostering imagination and free movement both indoors and in the outdoor provision.

The nursery is dedicated to promoting communication skills, incorporating activities and a music and movement teacher to enrich language development. With a focus on nurturing confident and independent learners, Little Buttons aims for children to leave eager to embrace new experiences, solve problems, think creatively, and adopt a "have-a-go" attitude.

Excellent nursery. Our daughter has been here from their youngest age group and will finish in their oldest this year. She has progressed continually, they have been extremely amenable, flexible, friendly and have a good catering dept. They get plenty of outdoor play and I dont feel like our daughter has missed out on anything. Would defo recommend.
