Children independently find resources matching their interests and steadily develop their ability to focus on specific tasks, making good progress in their learning over time.

Pricing & funding

Fees are charged per hour or per session depending on the time of day, covering pre-school, breakfast, and after-school care. Additional three-hour sessions are available for children aged two to four. Funded sessions require a small contribution towards snacks, while breakfast is included in morning sessions.

  • Leaders and managers focus well on observing staff practice and offering tailored support, an improvement since the last inspection.
  • Staff have a good understanding of what they want children to learn, including children with SEND, and focus on developing their thinking and mathematical knowledge.
  • There are good learning opportunities for toddlers during outdoor play, with staff engaging in role-play and providing tools to inspire mark-making.
  • Staff provide space, toys, and equipment that promote children's physical skills, showing them how to use tools like pipettes to strengthen hand muscles and control.
  • Partnerships with parents are good, with staff valuing their contributions to learning and helping families access support from other professionals.

Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are reassured by the close support provided by their key person. Staff have a good understanding of what they want children to learn, including children with SEND.

Outdoor space

There are good learning opportunities for toddlers during outdoor play. Staff get involved in children's role-play situations as they imagine they are travelling on a train in the garden. The inspector observed the quality of interactions during activities, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact this has on children's learning.

EAL / language support

Children who speak English as an additional language are keen to express their choices and preferences. They show that they are keen to learn new vocabulary when listening to stories and joining in with songs.
