Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities attend. Staff complete regular assessments in partnership with families and create specific target plans when appropriate to minimise gaps in children's development. Staff have an excellent knowledge of how to meet children's specific care and medical needs, accessing specific medical training and following in-depth risk assessments to promote inclusion.
Toddlers develop physical skills outdoors and explore the natural wildlife in the garden. Older children show excitement to go into a forest school session where staff lead a story through the woods and extend this into making clay animal models. A joint observation was completed outdoors during a range of experiences for children.
