Children are welcomed warmly by their key workers and are excited to explore both the indoor and outdoor spaces. The setting places a strong emphasis on communication and language development, with staff role modelling language in various ways, helping children, including those who are bilingual or speak English as an additional language, to learn new vocabulary quickly.
Children enjoy making good friendships and have a developing love of reading. Outdoor learning is a significant part of the daily routine, with children actively engaging in the garden, climbing on log stumps, and taking part in sand and water activities.
Staff effectively identify children's special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), implementing specific plans and working with other professionals to support children's progress. Small-group activities are also provided to further support learning.
Children are encouraged to be confident and independent, managing their own self-care, and exhibiting well-developed fine-motor skills through various activities.
