Madcaps and Mini Madcaps, established in May 1995, originated as an out-of-school club for children attending Market Deeping CP School. Since its inception, the nursery has expanded significantly, now involving three generations of the family alongside dedicated staff who are considered part of the family.
This strong family ethos has preserved Madcaps' fundamental values despite its growth. The nursery provides year-round childcare, catering to children from both Market Deeping CP School and William Hildyard School.
They offer flexible booking options, allowing parents to choose consistent weekly bookings or utilise a flexible system where they submit monthly forms indicating their preferred days, which is particularly beneficial for parents with shift-based work. During school holidays, parents have the freedom to book anything from one hour to ten and a half hours, as charges are applied hourly rather than per session.
The nursery also includes "Tiny Treasures," a new facility specifically designed for babies.
What it's like
Staff create an environment to support children's curiosity, encouraging them to explore and learn new vocabulary. They also provide activities to help children develop early independence skills, such as safely chopping fruit for snack and tidying resources.
