What it's like

The sound of children laughing and giggling is infectious as they play harmoniously together. Children of all ages show high levels of confidence in the nursery, including with visitors. Children have good imaginations, spending a long time making pretend 'chocolate cakes' in the mud kitchen and thoroughly enjoying hands-on experience with the resident chickens.

What it's like to attend

How they support every child

SEND provision

The provider uses extra funding thoughtfully to help children to make good progress in their overall learning and development, for example to access trips.

Outdoor space

Children show independence from a young age. Staff encourage toddlers to help themselves to tissues when their nose needs wiping. Pre-school children begin to manage risks safely, seeking out staff for support when walking over logs. Staff supervise children well as they move between the indoor and outdoor environments.

Returning to my old nursery with my children has been an amazing experience. This setting provided me with a great foundation years ago, and I can see them doing the exact same for my children now. The range of activities—from sensory play to outdoor learning—is fantastic and keeps my little ones excited to go every morning. The communication from the team is excellent, and it’s clear they genuinely care about every child’s individual progress. A truly outstanding nursery.

Such a great nursery! The staff are all so kind and caring and helped both my sons feel really settled when they first started. They always do lovely activities and get to spend a lot of time outside and often go on walks and park trips. I would highly recommend Carousel.

Not sure why this is on my daughters Google account but my youngest has been attending carousel nursery for almost 2 years and I cannot fault them! They are genially like a mini family my daughter goes in with smiles every day, the communication for parents is amazing, daily photos to see what your child’s doing linked with what development it’s supporting there just great. they have also been the biggest support for my 2 year old to get her walking and even taking notes on our physios exercises and practicing with her 1-1 if they have time. My biggest regret is not sending my eldest to this nursery if you’re debating sending your child here DO IT!!! By far the best nursery with the best staff going to be sad when my girl is finished at nursery xx

My Daughter has been at carousel for over 2 years. After moving her from another nursery I couldn’t have been happier with my choice. She has so much fun. All the staff are so lovely. They do so much with the children, take them out all the time and teacher them new things. Highly recommend.

I can’t recommend Carousel Nursery enough, it’s a lovely, homely environment. The team are friendly, approachable and make an effort to get to know your child, which really shows in their care and interactions with the children. There are lots of opportunities for the children, especially interacting with the local community with different sorts of visits, for example visiting the local care home. Thank you to all the Carousel Nursery team!
