I am very grateful to have found Mill Grove preschool for my son's early education. The combination of exceptional staff, fantastic outdoor spaces, and an overall nurturing environment make it a standout choice. The staff go above and beyond to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for every child. I love how they spend a lot of time outside playing, exploring and learning. My son looks forward to going to preschool every day, and as a parent, that's the best endorsement I could ask for.

The 10 stars nursery, Mill Grove nursery welcomed my daughter in their little people family with open arms after struggling to find a place in a nursery for a while, it was the best choice as a mother. They have a small sign outside the nursery, but inside? A huge heart ❤️ My daughter loves the nursery and all the staff. I am really happy with the way they teach children, all the outdoors activities which is a big bonus for me, the large garden where they play and even harvest vegetables with all the staff this is just fantastic, it is the perfect nursery for every parent that wants his child to learn and play in a place that is treating like a family with loving staff. I highly recommend Mill Grove Pre-school Nursery to each and everyone that wish his little child to enjoy a memorable learn and play with the team.

My 2 stars l gave is because the nursery was the closest one for me and my daughter to walk to, whilst l was expecting another child. Plus moreover, the Nursery preschool professed that it was Christian at the time and there was an in graved sign outside stating’Have Faith in God’. Unfortunately, this was not reflected in some of the staff members. A little after a few months, my daughter’s keyworker called me into a meeting because they complained how whenever they told off my child, she would just laugh. Yes that was the only reason l was called into the meeting. I think they expected my 3 year old girl to respond by crying instead. However, my child loved to go to the nursery everyday and her Keyworker Debbie eventually grew fond of her. She made friends but unfortunately my child told me one day how a girl which she liked to play with, along with her sister, called her the ‘N’ word. I reported it to the manager Hannah and she didn’t seem to believe me but rather had the audacity to ask me if my daughter could have heard it from her older sibling. I obviously told her not at all. However, Hannah seemed to target it me then really, despite supposedly being a fellow Christian. Hannah just concluded that the child who allegedly said the ‘N’ word to my child, had a grand dad who was Asian. So she must be from good stock 🙄. I requested she ask the parents of the girl about it. I am unsure Hannah even bothered really. South Woodford was pre-dominantly a white English and Asian middle class majority. This has only increased when l last passed through the area recently. I recall Hannah wanted to have another meeting with me about something trivial my daughter did. I can’t even recall the details. All l recall is Hannah having the cheek to ask me if we have any issues with my daughter’s older sibling in school? l told her the honest truth which was no but rather she received lots of positive feedback from her teachers. This happened later when my son was born. But when l arrived to meet with Hannah, l needed help carrying my buggy up the stairs to the entrance because unfortunately there was no disabled access. So one of the staff members Jody, offered to help me but grudgingly with an attitude. 😒 Due to when my daughter turned 4 earlier in the academic year, she spent almost 2 years there. Much to Hannah’s dismay🫩. However, on one of her last days at Millgrove, my mum left them a donation at one of their fund raising events, where they invited parents for snacks. After watching the sports days, Hannah appeared surprised but said she was grateful 🤨. We were glad not to choose this pre-school for my son. I do wish Millgrove success but they should keep Christianity as their central ethos. That’s when they will prosper even more.
