SEND provision

The curriculum is planned to support children to make progress in all areas of learning. Staff confidently describe how they prepare children for the next stage in learning while also incorporating individual children's interests.

Outdoor space

Children's physical development is supported, both indoors and outdoors. Children in the baby room confidently move around the space, using the furniture to support them with their developing walking skills.

EAL / language support

Staff further support children who speak English as an additional language by asking parents for key words from their home language. They use these words with children to support their understanding and help them to engage in activities fully.

Our Daughter Nellie May received impeccable care, support, education and warmth from all the staff at this superb Nursery for several years. All the children there were always kind to Nellie. The school was always clean and presentable, the teachers were always friendly and hard working. I pray we can one day send another child through their gates. Thank you to Millie and all the staff at Play & Learn Woodford.

Play & Learn Nursery & Pre-School deserves my five star rating and recommendation. An outstanding private nursery. All three of my kids have attended here and the learning and education experience have been consistent throughout. The nursery really has excellent facilities and is fully equipped to ensure you child settles in, is cared for and enjoys their time whilst at the nursery. The enthusiasm and encouragement from teachers and management to really develop and get the best out of the child is tremendous.

I will never thank enough the amazing staff in this nursery. Very professional and keen to help whenever you need. They help children to learn while playing and follow them step by step in their development. I will highly recommend every parent who truly care about their children development this nursery❤❤ thanks again My daughter will miss all of you girls❤❤

My son has been at Play and Learn nursery from 3 years old and we are sad to be leaving as he moves into reception. EVERY member of staff is amazing. They have all got to know my son as an individual and I couldn’t have asked for better preparation for school. He always enjoys his day, speaks highly of his teachers (a couple of which he has made a special bond) and his friends. The nursery has taught him about ‘the world’ such as the planets, growing plants , different cultures as well as a focus on his educational learning - I have seen a big improvement in his drawing, numbers and letters. The food provided by the nursery is a good variety and he tells me how much he enjoys it. We are both sad to be leaving and would definitely recommend this nursery as a great start for your little one.
